IT in Developed Countries and Developing Countries

IT in developed and developing countries has been considered as an essential component of healthcare organizations. The use of information technology in the world has been essential in providing medical practitioners with patient information facilitating for improvement of patient care (Khalifa 2014). In the developed countries such as United Kingdom, Canada and US, the IT has been readily adopted in hospitals and is being used to develop Health Information Systems (HIS) that collect data of patients such as medical history, demographic information and prescribed medication for the patient. This has improved the manner in which patients are treated and also reduced the nurses time spent in recording patient history and checking patient orders and errors increasing the patient to nursing time.
